The Penningtons Manches Cooper Commercial Dispute Resolution team is a busy, dynamic and growing team which enjoys a great quality of interesting and high profile work. The team is forward thinking and innovative, and is always looking to improve and enhance its existing high standards of client service.
Having embraced agile working, the team provides a welcoming, open and collegiate environment in which everyone is encouraged and supported to realise their individual potential, and contribute to the team’s growth and development.
This position will involve working in the Restructuring & Insolvency Team , which forms part of the wider Commercial Disputes Resolution team. The role is not, however, solely contentious by any means.
A broad knowledge and significant experience of both contentious and non-contentious insolvency and restructuring law are required. Our Restructuring & Insolvency Team have a varied and wide-ranging practice in relation to both corporate entities and individuals. In particular, the Head of the R&I Team is a dual qualified Insolvency Practitioner. Whilst she does not take appointments, the nature of the team’s work does therefore include a significant amount of advisory work, both preventative and within restructuring and insolvency processes. It is not necessary that the candidate will be experienced in all advisory areas but must be willing to learn.
The role will suit a confident and experienced senior associate who is committed to providing the best and most efficient possible service to clients, and is looking for an opportunity to help grow a team and mentor and bring the best out of junior lawyers and paralegals.
The firm operates a hybrid agile working policy allowing employees to work from home (or another UK location) for at least 50% of their time. Individuals can also apply for other flexible working options either at the time of recruitment or during the course of their employment.
We ensure that there are equal opportunities and treatment for all job applicants and employees, at all stages of the recruitment process and employment, regardless of age, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, disability, race (including colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin), religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression and social background.
